As of late, I have been chatting with our children and grandchildren about managing their personal checking accounts. Undoubtedly, our young members also need to learn how to manage their personal finances. I am excited to share with you a new financial literacy tool, available to all Goldenwest Credit Union members: Zogo.

What is Zogo?
Zogo is a mobile app that teaches financial literacy through bite-sized content. Using gamification and incentive-driven design, the app was built to make financial education fun and engaging for individuals of all ages.

What is the Benefit to You?
Zogo makes learning personal finance easy. It’s accessible from your mobile device, and entirely self-paced. The best part? Zogo rewards you for learning. As you work through modules, you earn “pineapples” that can be redeemed for gift cards at your favorite stores, like Amazon, Apple, Nike, and more.

How does Zogo Work?

1. Learn Financial Concepts:
Financial literacy takes time to learn, and Zogo guides you through the curriculum with bite-sized educational content so that you can learn at your own pace.

2. Play Daily Financial Trivia:
How much do you know about personal finance? Put your newfound knowledge to the test with daily quizzes.

3. Get Rewarded:
By completing educational modules and participating in the daily trivia challenges, you earn pineapples. Accumulate enough pineapples and you will earn rewards!

How to Get Started:
Zogo is listed as “Zogo: Finance Simplified” and is available for free both on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Once downloaded, open the app and select “Get Started”. Zogo will ask for a mobile number and then send a confirmation code.

Zogo will then ask for an access code.

• For the Goldenwest Credit Union version, the access code will be: “Goldenwest”. • For the USU Credit Union version, the access code will be “USU”.

I encourage you to use Zogo, and to invite your family and friends to join the Zogo network too. As we become financially literate, we can better manage our personal checking accounts and have more control over our financial future.
