Eligible members can earn up to $250 by opening and using a SMARTStart or SMARTPay checking account with a debit card and e-statements, completing 6 qualifying debit card transactions within 90 days of opening your account, finishing the required Smart Money financial wellness courses, and maintaining an active account in good standing for one year.

The Goldenwest Smart Money Financial Wellness Center is an online financial education platform with self-paced courses, budgeting tools, calculators, spending trackers, and personalized money management resources.

The Smart Money program and Financial Wellness Center are available at no cost for eligible members.

What does an active account mean for Smart Money?
For members ages 13-17, and active account requires at least 24 transactions per year. For members ages 18-25, an active account requires at least 60 transactions per year.

What does an account in good standing mean for Smart Money?
Good standing means the account is not negative for more than 30 days, loans are not delinquent over 30 days, there are no charged-off accounts, and the member’s address is up to date.

If I have an existing youth account can I participate in Smart Money?
Existing youth account members may still qualify for rewards by activating the Smart Money promotion.
