However, the principle behind most fraudsters and scammers is that people are the weak link in security. Most often, it’s easier to deceive an individual than it is to hack into a computer system by force. As consumers, we can be the first and most effective defenders against fraud.

    It’s been 10 years since federal savings insurance coverage increased from $100,000 to $250,000 per member. Not one penny of insured deposits has ever been lost by a member of a NCUA-insured credit union.
