Goldenwest Credit Union is proud to celebrate its 90th anniversary on May 13, marking nine decades of financial strength, stability, and dedicated member service since our founding by Ogden railroad employees in 1936. Built on the credit union philosophy of people helping people, our organization has remained focused on serving the financial needs of our members while strengthening the communities we call home.

From our humble beginnings—with just 25-cent membership fees and $10.50 in assets—we have grown into one of the strongest credit unions in the nation. Today, Goldenwest serves members across a broad geographic footprint, with 50 branch locations spanning from Northern Idaho to Southern Utah. This growth reflects not only our financial strength, but also the trust our members have placed in us for generations.

While much has changed over the past 90 years, our commitment to personalized service, responsible financial stewardship, and community involvement has remained constant. We continue to invest in financial solutions, digital services, and convenient access, ensuring we meet the evolving needs of our members while preserving the values that have defined us since 1936.
