OGDEN, UT: November 13, 2012 – Goldenwest Credit Union recently promoted Mike DeGroot to the position of Vice President. DeGroot has 17 years of information technology experience, including the six most recent years with Goldenwest.

DeGroot’s assignments at Goldenwest include IT strategic direction, data center management, electronic commerce security, production and disaster recovery systems, infrastructure and system architecture, program and application development, risk management and other information system services. He is a graduate of Weber State University.

The Goldenwest Information Technology Department is located at the credit union’s corporate headquarters in Ogden. Founded in 1936, Goldenwest Credit Union serves 86,000 members and has $813 million in assets.
