Goldenwest Donates to WCSD Foundation

ST GEORGE, UT: May 1, 2015 – Area students and teachers are the benefactors of a special promotion sponsored by Goldenwest Credit Union in conjunction with a recent grand opening celebration. For a period of two weeks, Goldenwest donated $20 to the Washington County School District Foundation for every new checking account opened at their two branches located in the St George area.

As a result of this promotion, Goldenwest Business Development Manager Kelly Blake presented a check for $1,520 to Washington County School District Foundation Director Pam Graf.

“I can’t think of a better way for Goldenwest to give back to our community than supporting local students and teachers,” commented Blake, who also serves on the Washington County School District Board of Education. “I’ve experienced first-hand the incredible impact the WCSD Foundation has on improving our classrooms and enhancing student success.”

Goldenwest marked the official opening of a second branch in St George with a ribbon cutting ceremony earlier this year in January. The new branch is located at 2122 East Riverside Drive. The credit union entered the St George market in November 2008 with the opening of the branch located at 1805 West Sunset Boulevard.
